Since I've been on a Supernatural Binge lately, I wanted to share a few memorable episodes.
Once of my favorites is S02E08, entitled "Crossroad Blues."
In it, the Winchester brothers investigate a series of bizarre cases in which people suddenly gain huge fame within a short period of time, and then die in unexplained violent deaths due mauling by dogs ... which are never seen..
Sam and Dean determined that these individuals all made deals with the devil ... which are know in the series as CROSSROADS DEMONS ... and that the DEMONS were returning to collect...
They also discussed the strange REAL-LIFE case of musician Robert Johnson. He, like the characters in the show, went from a virtual unknown to a master blues guitarist in the 1930s. He then died under mysterious circumstances that are still unexplained to this day.
It's generally said that he also made a deal with the devil exchanging his soul for eternal fame.
Since watching this, I sometimes wonder if people like Chadwick Boseman, or Anthony Bourdain, or even Kate Spade made similar deals ...
